RU Lounge chair

Sometimes, beautiful childhood memories are the best catalyst to bring us out of the adult life pressures and to help us come back to the infancy innocence. Through this design RU lounge chair, in which “RU” means lullaby in Vietnamese, I have choose a sentimental material which once lulled my childhood dreams to create this final piece.
A bit of embracing crib, a bit of the curve of dragonfly wings, interpreted by rattan (a local material in Vietnam), RU lounge chair is weaved and invites you to enjoy the peacefully relaxing moments which are so hard to find nowadays.
To me, lines and materials should be the storytellers in product design. Therefore, when you lie down on this chair, I hope that sweet childhood memories will come back to you, and lull your mind to peace.
